We are excited to kick off the 2024-2025 school year with a Pack 198 Open House on Wednesday, September 4th, at 7:00 PM. The event will be held at Riverdale Presbyterian Church, located at 1555 Brodhead Road in Moon Township, PA, 15108, follow the signs to “Cub Scout Open House”. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about Cub Scouts, meet our dedicated leaders, and see if scouting is a good fit for your family.
Cub Scouts is more than just an after-school activity. It’s a program that builds character, teaches valuable life skills, and fosters a sense of community. Through fun and engaging activities, your child will learn about teamwork, responsibility, and leadership while making lifelong friendships. Scouting also offers the chance to explore the outdoors, discover new interests, and earn achievements that instill a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Pack 198 is a family Pack which means we allow Boys & Girls to join. Our Dens are broken up by School Grade level as follows:
- Lions – Kindergarten
- Tigers – 1st Grade
- Wolves – 2nd Grade
- Bears – 3rd Grade
- Webelows – 4th Grade
- Arrow of Light – 5th Grade
Leadership:
- Our Cubmaster is Mr. Scott Hiemstra of Crescent Township.
- Our Assistant Cubmaster is Mr. Jim Joyce of Moon Township.
- Our Committee Chair is Mrs. Jenn Mosesso of Moon Township.
We meet in the fellowship hall at Riverdale Presbyterian Church at 1555 Brodhead Road in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.
Our Pack meets weekly on Thursday’s while Moon Area School District is in session. Our entire Pack meets together on the last Thursday of the month at 6:30PM. Our Dens have Den meetings on all other Thursdays, our younger Scouts (Lions, Tigers and Wolves) meet from 6:00PM-7:00PM, our older Scouts (Bear, Webelows and Arrow of Light) meet from 7:00PM-8:00PM.
